Mandarin Immersion & Ethnic Studies

The San Francisco School Board recently rejected an application for a Mandarin Immersion charter school and approved the purchase of a curriculum for Ethnic Studies class that many, including myself, believe raises significant concerns.


The following interview I did on Voice of San Francisco podcast discusses the differences between our bicultural school and the immersion bilingual schools, as well as how our school, Bert Hsu Academy, approaches teaching ethnic studies.
